Senior Accounting Professional

MCD McKesson Canada Corporation / La Corporation McKesson Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Professional to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our monthly accounting close tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Journal Entry Preparation: Prepare and review journal entries for accuracy and completeness, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
- Reconciliation and Analysis: Reconcile and analyze data from various sources, including general ledgers and subledgers, to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or variances.
- Accounting Support: Provide accounting support to our shared services team, including balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of monthly reconciliations for assigned accounts.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management, ensuring that our financial performance is optimized and aligned with our business objectives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting, and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience in month-end close accounting, with a strong understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Skills: Intermediate-to-Expert level Excel experience, strong knowledge of MS Office suite, and excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
