Brandt is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in the Medicine Hat and surrounding area, reporting to our Material Handling Lethbridge location.
This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of material handling based equipment and attachments, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Evaluate the working condition of material handling equipment, diagnose issues, and implement effective repairs and maintenance.
- Utilize secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Operate related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
- Accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders.
- Continuously assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
- Utilize computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
- Locate and order parts from parts personnel, ensuring timely delivery and minimal downtime.
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
**Requirements**
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
- Meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor control.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Previous mechanical experience in a material handling environment.
- Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
- Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
- Meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor control.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
