Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Registration Records Officer at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the security and accuracy of patient records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register patients and document necessary information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Retrieve and process patient charts, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with health and safety policies
  • Conduct quality audits on charts and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • File and retrieve patients' health records, maintaining a secure and organized environment
  • Update patient demographics and maintain accurate records
  • Collect payments for services provided, ensuring accurate financial records
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and health records management
  • Experience in health records management preferred
  • Strong keyboarding skills (minimum 45 wpm) and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
