Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Near North District School Board. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment for young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement early learning programs that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Collaborate with kindergarten teachers and other early childhood educators to plan and implement curriculum
  • Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment that reflects the diversity of the school and community
  • Track child progress through journals, observations, and assessment tools
  • Communicate with parents and team members as required

Requirements:

  • Two-year Early Childhood Education Diploma with related experience in an early learning environment
  • Proof of registration and good standing with The College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and in a sensitive and courteous manner with children, teachers, staff, parents, and community members
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, preparing, and implementing early learning curriculum
  • Proven ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Proficiency in computer applications (word processing, email, and internet)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • French language competence considered an asset
