Job Summary

Parking Enforcement & Logistics is responsible for the Parking Enforcement Program, Business Licensing operations, Smoke-free Ontario regulations, and overseeing special events branch-wide.

You will enforce the provision of the City of Ottawa Traffic and Parking by-law, and perform related administrative duties under the direction of a Supervisor, By-law Enforcement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce the City of Ottawa Traffic and Parking by-law
  • Perform related administrative duties
  • Work under stressful conditions and cope with people in difficult situations
  • Communicate effectively orally to the general public and all work-related contacts
  • Act as a representative of the City of Ottawa and promote good public relations
  • Demonstrate a customer service attitude
  • Work shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays
  • Meet the physical demands of the job
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12
  • Minimum of 2 months of experience in the enforcement of statutory offences or related field
  • Experience in the communications and public relations fields is an asset
  • General knowledge of the City of Ottawa Traffic and Parking By-law
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and/or French
