The Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance on shop facility machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance on shop facility machinery and equipment
- Conduct corrective, reactive, and preventative maintenance of facilities, buildings, equipment, and installations
- Repair and perform project work as required
The role requires working in various conditions, including indoors and outdoors, and may involve working at heights and in confined spaces.
The incumbent must be able to climb and demonstrate proficiency in safety training.
Requirements- Must hold an Inter-Provincial Red Seal HDET Certificate and be currently employed within Winnipeg's maintenance department
- Will be required to obtain a Class 3 licence
The Heavy Duty Mechanic must complete all training sessions as directed by the company, ensuring a successful completion of this training is essential for future performance of duties.
This position is a unionized position, with pay and benefits governed by the applicable collective agreement.
