Water damage incidents can be overwhelming for homeowners and businesses alike. As a Water Damage Technician at On Side Restoration, you will play a crucial role in alleviating the stress associated with these emergencies, restoring order and dryness to affected properties.

Position Overview – Water Damage Technician
In this role, Water Damage Technicians (WDTs) respond promptly to various water-related emergencies, including burst pipes, blocked drains, and sewer backups. Your ability to empathize with clients during these urgent situations is essential for success.
Collaborating as a team, WDTs will efficiently manage the cleanup process, ensuring that properties are restored to their pre-disaster conditions.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will possess a range of skills, including:
- Mechanical aptitude—an intuitive understanding of how things function
- Attention to detail and a curious mindset
- Strong organizational skills and punctuality
- Physical fitness—capable of lifting 40lbs and maneuvering in tight spaces
- Team-oriented with a friendly demeanor
- A commitment to safety
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal record check
- Proficiency in English communication
- Preferred experience in the restoration industry.
Relevant past experiences that may contribute to success in this role include demolition, carpentry, construction labor, plumbing, janitorial work, landscaping, and other similar fields.
Additional Assets:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will enhance your candidacy:
- IICRC Water Damage Technician Certification (training will be provided if needed)
Important Note:
Due to the nature of the work, a rotating schedule that includes 24/7 on-call availability is required.
