About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Zone Manager to join our team at Kal Tire. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the management, growth, and success of multiple stores within a designated region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Results: Lead the performance of all stores within the zone, focusing on sales, safety, and culture.
  • Develop Zone Plans: Collaborate with the Regional Director to create a zone plan, aligning store budgets and plans with the zone and region.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain an active in-store leadership presence, driving continuous improvement and accountability for results in the zone.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Create a shared understanding of operational excellence across the zone, ensuring alignment with Kal Tire Way operational behaviors.
  • Performance Assessment: Evaluate performance in the zone through on-site observations and data-driven analysis.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop insights through financial, operational, and team member engagement reporting, and implement strategies to grow sales and improve profitability.
  • Change Management: Lead change and continuous improvement initiatives in the zone, supporting Store Managers to implement and manage resistance.
  • Culture and Diversity: Promote a culture of accountability for safety and customer satisfaction across the zone, and build a diverse and inclusive team.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Operations Management Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a multi-store environment or oversight of a model location.
  • People Management Experience: Proven ability to manage and develop teams, including recruiting, assessing performance, and driving engagement.
  • Analytical and Decision-Making Skills: Strong analytical, decision-making, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead by positive influence, foster a collaborative culture, and maintain operational efficiencies.
  • Education: College or university diploma or degree, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
