At Modern Niagara, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Vaughan. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the budget, schedule, and work closely with foremen, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver successful projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage labour on assigned projects with the support and direction of the Electrical Operations Manager.
- Complete monthly financial forecasting reports for all assigned projects and attend Project Status Review (PSR) meetings.
- Review contracts for scope, maintain productivity, quality, and costs, and ensure the projects are completed in a manner that supports the overall strategic and operational objectives of the company.
- Participate in client and construction meetings as required and disseminate information to our workforce and subcontractors.
- Manage all change order pricing in Accubid database.
- Effective communicator with the ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships with employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders at all levels.
- Post-secondary education in construction management/Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of project management experience within the construction industry would be ideal.
- Previous experience working in the construction industry, particularly field work, would be a strong asset.
- Ability to interpret site and building plans and specifications.
- Experience with project or construction management software (e.g., Procore).
- Effective communicator with the ability to develop and sustain productive working relationships with employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously with frequent travel to site locations.
- Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experienced with, and a willingness to train and mentor team members.
- General understanding of QA/QC as well as Health and Safety practices/requirements.
