Position: Accounts Payable Specialist

Role Overview: Reporting directly to the Manager of IPP Accounting, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be tasked with the precise and timely processing of invoices. This position includes reviewing invoices, executing cheque runs, addressing vendor inquiries, and ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and process invoices for correctness and necessary approvals
  • Execute cheque runs and manage special payment instructions
  • Promptly address vendor inquiries
  • Oversee the accounts payable aging report
  • Process employee reimbursement requests
  • Conduct regular reconciliations
  • Assist with filing and general administrative tasks
  • Manage ad-hoc requests as required

Qualifications:

  • Fundamental accounting knowledge
  • Preferred post-secondary education
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager 7S is advantageous
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Capability to foster and maintain effective working relationships
  • Meticulous attention to detail and capacity to meet deadlines
