Job Description

Pythagoras Academy is seeking an exceptional educator to join our team as a Primary Teacher. Our school prides itself on a unique educational philosophy that champions the role of the Fine Arts. Key Responsibilities
  • Ability to work effectively with students with varying challenges and unique needs.
  • Able to provide intellectual and behavior support to students.
  • Teaches prepared lesson plans and leads interactive learning activities.
  • Initiates and facilitates classroom discussions.
  • Incorporates appropriate technology and media in lesson planning.
  • Accompanies classes on field trips.
  • Promotes and maintains high standards of behavior, respect, and safety within the classroom.
  • Able to create a safe and caring relationship with students that supports their growth and development.
  • Develop a positive, safe culture through actions and words.
  • Integrate social responsibility and kindness into daily teaching and routines.
Requirements
  • Possess or be in application of a valid BC Teaching Certificate.
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in education.
  • Models a strong work ethic as well as high standards of commitment.
  • Fosters school mission, values, and sense of community through student-centered decisions.
  • Effectively communicates with staff, parents, and students.
  • Maintains professionalism through all school interactions and activities.
