Strategic Academic Planning and Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Academic Planning and Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. This is a regular, full-time (1.0 FTE) position that will lead and support strategic institutional initiatives to advance program planning, development, and review.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Strategic Initiatives
- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the Institute's position as an institution of higher learning.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment with the Institute's strategic direction.
- Quality Assurance and Enhancement
- Lead and support the development and implementation of internal and external quality assurance and enhancement processes.
- Ensure academic standards and industry relevance in all programs.
- Program Development and Review
- Work with Educational Council and program champions to ensure quality program proposals receive timely review and approvals.
- Facilitate interactions between program areas and service areas to conduct program development and review.
- Research and Analysis
- Conduct research and analysis to support the development of new academic products and programs.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency within the program area interface.
- Leadership and Collaboration
- Provide leadership and direction to teams and stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across the Institute.
- Education
- Master's degree, preferably in the field of education, or an equivalent.
- Experience
- A minimum of five years current post-secondary experience.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent working knowledge of educational systems, standards, and best practices.
- Strong leadership and transition management skills.
- Good organizational skills and a high degree of self-motivation.
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.

- A salary range of $105,653-$145,272, with a control point of $132,066 per annum.
