About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at LK Repair Terminal. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment

You will be responsible for detecting faults and malfunctions in heavy trucks and equipment, and determining the extent of repair required.

Diagnose and Repair Faults

Using computerized and other testing equipment, you will diagnose faults or malfunctions and repair or replace defective parts as needed.

Maintain Inventory and Order Parts

You will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels and ordering parts as needed to ensure that repairs can be completed efficiently.

Perform Maintenance and Repairs

You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work as needed.

Work Environment

As a Diesel Mechanic at LK Repair Terminal, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will be exposed to dusty and noisy conditions, and will be required to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • Education

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have completed a program in diesel mechanics or a related field.

Experience

You must have at least 1 year of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a focus on heavy truck repair.

Physical Demands

You must be able to lift heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
