About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Immigrate. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for the efficient undertaking of machining projects as assigned, ensuring the finished quality of machined pieces, and completing machining and manufacturing projects as per the shop schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manual machining as required
  • Vertical and horizontal turning, horizontal boring mill experience
  • Mastercam, Mazatrol, Conversational & G-Code Programming experience
  • Fanuc & Heidenhein controls experience considered an asset
  • Hands-on, milling, turning, and live tooling experience
  • Responsible for the verification of toolpaths & modelling fixtures prior to production
  • Determine proper tooling and testing of new tooling and techniques for optimization
  • Maintain a proactive and positive approach when completing assigned tasks either individually or as part of the team
Requirements
  • Journeyman certification or equivalent is required
  • Meeting customer expectations; working closely with Foreman
  • Meet the operational objectives while complying with the overall corporate goals
  • Maintain a safe working environment and promote health and safety awareness
  • Identify, investigate and correct unsafe practices
  • Support employee development, mentorship and growth
  • Maintain a positive 'team' environment on the shop floor through respectful dealings with individuals from all departments
