Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight and guidance to staff to ensure they meet the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of the individuals served.
  • Supervise and direct staff, including scheduling, performance appraisals, and mentoring.
  • Participate in recruitment and orientation of new staff.
  • Monitor and coordinate the development and implementation of Annual and Quarterly Reviews for the individuals served.
  • Be available to support the team during emergency situations and participate in a rotating on-call system.
  • Assist in maintaining the home and equipment according to Agency standards.
  • Ensure staff follow Catholic Social Services policies and procedures.
  • Manage the home's budget and represent the home on Agency committees as assigned.
Requirements
  • A degree or diploma in Human Services or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Must complete a Medication Administration Course.
  • Supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to deliver creative solutions.
  • Strong leadership, delegation, and negotiation skills.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and openness to changes.
  • Experience supervising teams and strong computer skills.
  • Able to provide a Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check.
