Position Overview

As a **Telecommunications Equipment Installer** at **Jay-Smart Technologies Inc.**, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of both aerial and underground communication systems. This role requires a strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and the ability to work in various environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Installation and Maintenance**: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone systems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • **Climbing and Working at Heights**: Safely climb and work on poles, ladders, or other support structures to complete installations and repairs.
  • **Repair Work**: Diagnose and rectify issues with faulty cables, power supplies, and amplifiers to maintain service quality.
  • **Wiring Tasks**: Splice, join, and connect wires effectively to ensure seamless communication.
  • **Equipment Operation**: Operate jackhammers and drills for pavement breaking as part of installation processes.
  • **Testing and Analysis**: Analyze test results and instrument readings to assess system performance.
  • **Team Coordination**: Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments efficiently.
Qualifications

**Education**: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

**Experience**: Candidates should have 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in the telecommunications field.

Work Environment

This is a **permanent position** with a standard work schedule of **35 hours per week**. The primary working language is **English**.
