Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Line Installer to join our team at Jay-Smart Technologies Inc. as a key member of our telecommunications infrastructure team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and Maintain Telecommunications Equipment

Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, ensuring that all installations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Climb and Work Aloft

Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to access and maintain telecommunications equipment.

Repair and Replace Faulty Equipment

Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to ensure that our telecommunications network remains operational.

Splice, Join, and Connect Wires

Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure that our telecommunications network is functioning at optimal levels.

Operate Heavy Equipment

Operate jackhammers and drills to break up pavement and access underground equipment.

Analyze Test Results

Analyze test results and instrument readings to identify and troubleshoot issues with our telecommunications network.

Communicate with Team Members

Communicate with other workers to coordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance is required.

Language

Fluency in English is required.

Work Hours

35 hours per week is the standard work schedule.
