Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Analyst to join our team at J.D. Irving, Limited. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network systems, ensuring the highest level of performance and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and WAN Accelerators.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to our network infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members on network-related activities.
  • Configure and manage server and application monitoring systems.
  • Act as an escalation point for vendor and external technical resources to troubleshoot issues.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on network-related projects and support organizational standards.
  • Optimize existing systems for performance and capacity, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Research and implement security protocols to ensure the integrity of our network.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedure documentation for network solutions.
  • Lead and oversee day-to-day network activities, contributing to long-term operational planning.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for production support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5-8+ years of network administration and operations experience in a large distributed environment.
  • Strong technical, problem determination, and resolution skills.
  • Ability to describe, create, and manage system documentation, scripting, testing, and implementation of networking automations.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Process-driven thinking, participating in organizational processes including change management, vendor management, escalation procedures, and project management.
  • Ability to secure controlled goods security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNA, CCNP certifications.
  • Juniper, Meraki, and Check Point certifications.
  • ITIL Foundations certified.
  • Azure Network Engineer Associate.
  • Leading Change experience.
  • Lean yellow/green belt certifications (or other process improvement experience).
