Your role as a Cost Estimator will involve:
Leading a team through the bid process with confidence, while fostering strong relationships with subcontractors. Creating precise, timely, and organized estimates for various project types, including hard-bid, construction management, and design-build. Coordinating subcontractor quotes upon bid success, revising documentation, and supporting the procurement process. Tracking project performance, identifying potential challenges, and nurturing relationships with subcontractors for future collaborations. Distributing subcontractor quotes to relevant personnel, highlighting areas of concern, and working with management to manage risk within the bid pricing. Maintaining comprehensive databases that include labor rates, material costs, and project expenses for future reference.Is this position a fit for you?
You possess a degree or diploma related to construction and have 5 to 7 years of estimating experience, or a combination of technical training and relevant experience. You have a solid understanding of corporate objectives that influence estimating, as well as estimating strategies, techniques, and construction contracts.
