About the Role

The Senior Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of our organization. This position entails overseeing a wide range of financial operations, from daily transaction management to comprehensive statutory accounts reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting:
    • Oversee the preparation of annual statutory accounts for the Group.
    • Compile monthly consolidated accounts and assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Manage the month-end closing process and maintain the accounts timetable.
    • Investigate technical financial matters and prepare documentation for audits and accounting queries.
    • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements, keeping stakeholders informed on policies and processes.
    • Deliver detailed financial reports to stakeholders as required.
    • Guide the transactional finance team in adopting financial best practices and compliance regulations.
  2. Tax and Regulatory Filings:
    • Prepare and submit VAT returns and other necessary regulatory documents.
    • Stay informed on changes in tax legislation and regulations.
    • Assist in tax planning and ensure compliance with tax obligations in a timely manner.
  3. Cash Flow Management:
    • Oversee cash flow to ensure the organization maintains adequate liquidity.
    • Prepare forecasts for weekly, monthly, and annual cash flow for the Group.
    • Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes.
    • Enhance the company's cash management strategies.
  4. Compliance and Auditing:
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the auditing process, focusing on key audit areas and complex accounting issues.
    • Develop, enhance, and maintain internal processes and controls to mitigate fraud and ensure accuracy.

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in an accountancy practice is preferred.
  • Strong grasp of financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High integrity and dependability with a strong results-oriented approach.
