Job Title: Jr. Civil-Water Resources Engineer

We are seeking a Jr. Civil-Water Resources Engineer to join our team at MPE Engineering Ltd. in Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will work with our established water resources team under the supervision of intermediate and senior engineers to complete design and project management duties.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform general project engineering duties, including preparing reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Work with the project team to complete preliminary engineering studies and assessments, including hydrology modeling, hydraulic modeling, and dam safety.
  • Complete engineering design, including pumping systems, pipelines, open channel systems, hydraulic structures, earthworks, and concrete/steel design.
  • Perform construction administration, coordination, and construction supervision duties.
  • Work closely with clients to ensure their project objectives are met.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for general construction methods and previous field-work experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience or knowledge with design software, particularly HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM, and WaterCAD, is considered an asset.
  • Class 5 Drivers License and personal vehicle for out-of-town work as required.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
