Job Title: Executive Director Interim Position

Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta is seeking an experienced Interim Executive Director to provide maternity leave coverage. The successful candidate will be responsible for sustaining the organization's day-to-day operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adequate systems of control and financial accounting in accordance with a recognized system of accounting.
  • Manage grants writing and reporting, as well as oversee planning and execution of fundraisers.
  • Oversee program implementation and overall delivery management to ensure expected outcomes are achieved against objectives, indicators, and cash flows.
  • Partner with school boards and community organizations to ensure programs are diversified, innovative, and effective.
  • Oversee and ensure monthly program reporting and annual reporting is completed in a timely manner with quality.
Requirements:
  • Previous Executive Director experience working with non-profit organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven strategic leadership/senior management expertise in one or more of the following areas: fund development, fundraising, youth/gender-specific program development, governance support, human resources, communications, marketing, administration, and risk management.
  • Experience in developing partnerships, building teams, conflict management, and leading teams of various backgrounds.
  • Ability to establish priorities and timelines to handle multiple projects in an efficient, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Share a strong passion for inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office, Google Suites, Zoom, and Social Media outlets.
  • A Class 5 Driver's License is a must.

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of professionals to achieve organizational goals. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
