We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Inclusion Specialist to join our team at the City of Brampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality program for participants with disabilities, ensuring positive experiences, effective communication, creativity, enthusiasm, and organization.
Key Responsibilities- Program Planning and Delivery
- Plan, implement, and deliver age-appropriate specialized programming that meets the needs of all participants.
- Ensure programming is delivered in a safe and supportive environment.
- Staff Supervision and Training
- Supervise and schedule part-time staff and volunteers to maintain high levels of service.
- Provide training and evaluation to ensure staff are equipped to provide high-quality support.
- Medication Administration and Inventory Management
- Administer medications as required according to Corporate Policy.
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory of program supplies.
- Administrative Duties
- Complete administrative duties in a timely manner, including staff and program schedules, incident/accident reports, medication logs, permission forms, and bus attendance.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with participants, staff, and stakeholders to ensure seamless program delivery.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve program goals and objectives.
- Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or exceptionalities.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Valid Ontario driver's license and full-time use of a vehicle.
- High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development or Sport Certification.
- High Five QUEST 2, considered an asset.
- Lifesaving Society Safeguard certification, or ability to obtain within 1 month of date of hire.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Permanent residency in Brampton.
The successful candidate will be selected based on their experience, skills, and qualifications. Various tests and/or exams may be administered as part of the selection criteria.
The City of Brampton requires all applicants to have a valid Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (Level 2) or a Vulnerable Sector Check (if 18 years of age or older) issued from their local police department, dated within the last six (6) months.
