At Otter Co-op, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Liquor Store Manager to lead our team at the Capilano Liquor Store. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction, leading, coaching, training, motivating, and inspiring our Team Members to deliver exceptional guest service experiences.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operation and management of the liquor store in accordance with company policies, procedures, and overall expectations.
- Provide ongoing written and verbal feedback to the Area Manager.
- Directly responsible for team member relations, including hiring, training, and development, and performance management.
- Ensure the store's merchandising standards are being managed and maintained, and all programs are being implemented, measured, and managed.
- Directly responsible for ensuring the store adheres to BCLDB operating guidelines and all government regulations in labeling, pricing, sanitation, and food safety.
- Attend and actively participate in commodity, leadership, and safety meetings.
- 3-5 years of experience in progressive retail management positions with a proven successful track record.
- Liquor, retail, and/or guest service background preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to manage computer files efficiently.
- Solid basic math skills and ability to read and understand financial reports.
- Effective interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills.
- Self-starter with motivation and ability to work in a busy environment.
- Valid Serving it Right Certificate required.
