About the Role

GAGE METAL CLADDING LIMITED is seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join our team. As an Architectural Draftsperson, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, reading blueprints to determine work requirements, and training new drafting personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Prepare engineering designs and drawings, and develop and prepare design sketches.
  • Blueprint Analysis: Read blueprints to determine work requirements and examine drawings for conformity and errors.
  • Training and Development: Train new drafting personnel and lead/instruct groups.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete documentation packages and drawing sets, and consult with clients, engineers, or production specialists to establish product requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drafting and design.
  • Skills: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD), AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, and MS Office.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
