In this role, you will play a vital part in helping individuals maintain their independence and improve their quality of life within their homes and communities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions to clients with diverse needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that address functional limitations and promote client goals.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate clients and their families on strategies to manage daily activities and enhance well-being.
- Advocate for client needs and ensure access to appropriate resources and support services.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy.
- Current practicing full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
- Minimum two (2) years' post graduate experience in Occupational Therapy or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Community experience preferred.
- Valid BC Driver's License.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to client-centered care and ethical practice.
