Job Title: Event Planner

We are seeking an experienced Event Planner to join our team at Halifax Tower Hotel Ltd. as a key member of our events team.

Job Summary:

The Event Planner will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events, conferences, and meetings from start to finish. This includes developing risk management plans, promoting conference and meeting services, and developing emergency security plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement event concepts, themes, and budgets
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment
  • Develop and implement marketing and communication plans to promote events
  • Coordinate with speakers, presenters, and performers to ensure successful event execution
  • Manage event registration, ticketing, and accommodation arrangements
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and emergency procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful event execution
  • Monitor and control event expenses to ensure budget adherence
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in event planning, coordination, or a related field
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing events, conferences, and meetings
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, database software, and MS Office
