Job Title: Event Planner

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planner to join our team at Halifax Tower Hotel Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Event Planner will be responsible for coordinating and executing events, conferences, and meetings from start to finish. This includes developing risk management plans, promoting conference and meeting services, and developing emergency security plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement event concepts and themes
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless event execution
  • Manage event budgets and finances
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment
  • Develop and implement marketing and communication plans to promote events
  • Coordinate with speakers, presenters, and performers
  • Manage event registration and ticketing
  • Ensure event compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Coordinate with hotel staff and vendors to ensure event execution
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in event planning or a related field
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of event planning software and technology
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
