The Supply Chain Manager will work within the Production Operations team, supporting field operations, well services and other departments with the internal tracking, maintenance, onboarding/offboarding of vendors per the IPC procurement and contracts policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a Procurement Strategy and Procurement Plan to meet business needs.
  • Manage and facilitate contract administration activities, including:
    • Preparing RFQ/RFP packages, contract maintenance and tracking, contract extensions, renewals and pricing trends;
    • Interpreting and explaining contract requirements, terms and conditions to internal stakeholders to support compliance with statutory and internal governance policies;
    • Assisting business areas with supplier performance issues and facilitating resolution with both supplier performance and contractual matters;
    • Establishing and maintaining contract files, ensuring proper documentation is readily available for reference and compliance purposes;
    • Working with business areas to form contracts and supporting the business in building and maintaining effective relations and communication with vendors and suppliers;
    • Supporting the onboarding/offboarding of vendors in a timely manner with IT, Finance and to ensure contractor compliance through ISNetworld;
    • Coordinating with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, procurement governance, ensuring proper authority for sign off and other contractual matters;
    • Administering Change Orders and revisions to existing contracts;
    • Continuously evaluating supply chain processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing efficiency-enhancing initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Supporting internal and external procurement audit requests and ensuring accuracy and compliance of vendors and procurement policies.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve supply chain efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education with either completion or working towards completion of a supply chain management designation (SCMP, CSCS or CSCP) or diploma specifically related to Supply Chain Management;
  • 8+ years experience in a Supply Chain role with strong background in contracts, sourcing and negotiation in the Oil and Gas industry;
  • Solid understanding of contract management best practices, policies and procedures;
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, decision making skills;
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
