Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate personalized phone interactions with clients, fostering a trustworthy atmosphere conducive to selling home or auto insurance policies. Provide education and guidance on our offerings while complying with the company's underwriting standards.
  • Collaborate with the agent to set and achieve marketing objectives.
  • Implement a customer-centric, needs-based assessment process to inform clients about insurance alternatives.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Sales experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of various insurance plans.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions and fostering relationships.
  • Interest in promoting products and services tailored to customer needs.
  • Ability to conduct presentations.
  • Skill in attracting new clients and maintaining existing relationships.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in different property and casualty insurance roles, such as underwriting, claims, sales, or service is advantageous.
  • Property and Casualty license is preferred (must be obtained).
  • Previous sales experience is required.
  • Must demonstrate diligence, loyalty, and a capacity for quick learning.

This position is with an independent contractor agent who is part of the Desjardins exclusive agent network, not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries. The employees of this agent are not employees of Desjardins. Independent contractor agents are responsible for and make all employment decisions regarding their employees.
