Position OverviewThe Senior Wealth Planning Consultant will collaborate closely with the Vice-President of Advanced Wealth Planning Strategy and Services. This role is pivotal in assisting senior team members in crafting, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive wealth strategies and reporting tailored to our esteemed clients. The consultant will also enhance the service offerings available to Wellington-Altus Advisory teams and their clientele.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in client consultations alongside senior colleagues when appropriate.
- Continuously enhance knowledge in various aspects of wealth management, including financial planning, investment strategies, insurance, risk assessment, retirement planning, taxation, and estate planning.
- Assist senior team members in executing the Wellington-Altus wealth management framework.
- Prepare client engagement materials, including introductory packages and information requests.
- Input client data into planning software and produce relevant financial documentation.
- Review and discuss wealth management deliverables with senior colleagues.
- Collaborate with senior team members on training initiatives for Wellington-Altus Advisory teams.
- Co-develop and present educational seminars on diverse wealth management topics.
- Foster and maintain relationships with key industry influencers.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
- A degree or diploma in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a wealth management role or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the wealth management sector or a regulated industry is advantageous.
- Possession of a professional designation such as CFP, PFP, TEP, or CLU is preferred.
- Familiarity with planning software such as Conquest or NaviPlan is beneficial.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Adept at working independently and collaboratively within a diverse national team.
- Exhibit professionalism to ensure clients feel at ease discussing sensitive information.
- An entrepreneurial mindset to contribute to the growth of Wellington-Altus and a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Willingness to travel within Canada as required.
- A background check may be conducted prior to employment commencement.
