We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to join our team at Brandt. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective supervision of our service operations to meet quality standards and productivity requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Service Department Operations: Oversee the daily activities of our service technicians and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Lead by Example: Demonstrate a strong work ethic and lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence and safety within the Service Department.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and repair all special tools, recommending new tooling as required to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Training and Development: Coordinate and schedule in-house technician training to ensure our team has the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Performance Management: Assist the Service Manager in providing performance feedback and disciplinary recommendations for service technicians and staff.
- Financial Management: Bill approximately 50% of available time, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing to customers.
- Experience: 3+ years' experience as a Service Technician, Journeyman certification preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and coach others, with excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, decision-making, and delegation skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiar with company and competitive products, with a basic understanding of financial principles related to service department operations.
- Communication Skills: Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups, with excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: Forklift license preferred.
