We are currently seeking a Lead C++ Software Engineer, Trading Solutions - CONTRACT to contribute to the development and enhancement of a critical trading floor application.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize advanced technical skills and process-oriented knowledge, complemented by strong communication abilities, in the development and maintenance of mission-critical business system applications. The development process encompasses the entire project lifecycle, including concept, architecture & design, construction, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of robust C++ development experience
  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
  • Experience with Data Model Analysis and Design, UML, STL, Perl, HP Blades, TCP socket, Solace, messaging middleware, and design patterns
  • Ability to quickly grasp an application's high-level functionality
  • Strong documentation capabilities
  • Excellent interviewing skills, particularly with senior management
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and proficient verbal/written communication
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks
  • Knowledge of the securities industry or completion of the Canadian Securities Course is advantageous
  • A university degree in computer science or a comparable combination of education and experience
