About the Role

CWB Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Procurement to lead our procurement function and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Create and execute procurement plans that optimize purchasing costs, improve operational efficiency, and mitigate risk.
  • Lead Strategic Sourcing Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Manage Supplier Relationships: Foster strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality products and services, while maintaining competitive pricing and delivery schedules.
  • Oversee Procurement Operations: Ensure seamless procure-to-pay processes, manage procurement budgets, and monitor key performance metrics.
  • Develop and Enhance Procurement Capabilities: Provide training and development opportunities for procurement staff, and stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends.
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field, with a specialization in Procurement.
  • Industry Designations: One or more relevant industry designations, such as Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
  • Professional Experience: 7+ years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, and Relationship Management, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in supplier risk management.
  • Leadership Experience: 3+ years of senior leadership experience, with a proven track record of strategic leadership and team management.
