Position: Head Athletic Therapist

Type: Full-Time

Contract: Contract Position

Reporting to: Manager, Athletics & Recreation Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive athletic therapy program for varsity sports teams
  • Oversee injury prevention strategies, evaluation processes, management, treatment, and rehabilitation protocols
  • Conduct thorough physical wellness assessments for athletes
  • Ensure the maintenance of injury data while upholding confidentiality standards
  • Coordinate necessary physical examinations and referrals to specialists
  • Provide guidance and support to student athletic trainers
  • Assess and recommend innovative techniques and equipment for athletic therapy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Athletic Therapy or Kinesiology
  • Active maintenance of professional certifications in the field
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Clearance from a Criminal Record Check
  • NCCP Safe Sport Certification
