Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Clerk Cashier to join our dynamic team at Deer Park Food Store in Red Deer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and respond to their inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ensure accurate processing of sale transactions, including handling cash, credit card payments, and operating a point of sale system.
  • Bag and assist with carrying out purchases, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
  • Complete cash-up procedures, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining merchandise displays, ensuring a visually appealing store environment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the job.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills, providing a positive experience for customers.
  • Strong organizational skills, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently, demonstrating a willingness to collaborate and support colleagues.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with some heavy lifting required.
  • Applicants must be over 14 years old, with a valid permit to work in this age group.
