Job Title: Cashier - Timberlands - Central Alberta Co-op

We are seeking a part-time cashier clerk to join our team at our Timberlands Food Store in Red Deer.

Job Summary:

This is a part-time position requiring 24-36 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers and respond to their inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Accurately process sales transactions and handle customer payments.
  • Bag and assist customers with carrying out their purchases.
  • Complete cash handling and reconciliation as required.
  • Display merchandise and maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive shopping experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Some heavy lifting may be required (up to 50 lbs).
  • Must be over the age of 14 (Employment Standards requires a permit to employ a person age 14 or under).
