Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our team at Stericycle. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating electric and manual powered industrial equipment to lift, push, pull, stack or move containers in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate industrial vehicles and equipment (electric and manual) to transport materials within processing and/or warehouse areas.
  • Load and unload designated trailers and internally transport materials using a RF barcode scanner and/or other electronic and manual systems.
  • Pack and palletize product and apply correct labels.
  • Verify all inbound bills of lading for accuracy against the delivered products.
  • Maintain the integrity of materials through proper handling and storage.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of inbound shipments on applicable systems.
  • Maintain accurate record logs.
  • Identify hazardous waste materials and adhere to instructions related to their movement/process.
  • Promote a safe work environment through personal actions and identify safety concerns as well as cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous forklift, pallet jack or other power equipment experience preferred.
  • Maintains forklift certification.
  • Demonstrates general working knowledge of computers.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with bills of lading, reading numbers and labels as well as add, subtract and multiply.
  • Maintain Valid driver's licenses.
