Rehabilitation Assistant

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team in Powell River, BC. As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist or physiotherapist to provide physical and occupational therapy interventions to clients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients in achieving their rehabilitation goals, while also providing support to the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide physical and occupational therapy interventions to clients, under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
- Assist clients in achieving their rehabilitation goals, through the implementation of treatment plans and the provision of education and support.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure that clients receive comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Completion of a recognized Diploma level Rehabilitation Assistant Program with Occupational and Physical therapy components.
- One year's recent, related experience working with target population.
- Valid BC Drivers License.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Computer literacy skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
