We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Services Supervisor to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of food services, including patient meals, catering functions, and cafeteria operations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the preparation and delivery of patient meals and snacks, guest meals, and cafeteria meals.
- Develop and implement strategies for healthy eating and revenue generation.
- Manage staff schedules, attendance, and payroll.
- Interview and hire staff as needed.
- Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained in food services operations.
- Food Service Technology course or equivalent required.
- Graduate of a 4-year nutrition degree preferred.
- Food Handlers course and WHMIS an asset.
- Excellent leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills required.
- Excellent communication, accuracy, and organizational skills required.
- Proven skills in customer service required.
- Superior supervision and decision-making skills.
- Competencies in other languages are considered an asset.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position requires excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
