Job Title: Lead Project Controller

Cementation Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Project Controller to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing the financial, scheduling, risk, and change aspects of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project control systems to monitor project progress, track budgets, and manage timelines effectively.
  • Standardize project control procedures across all projects to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Train and develop project controllers and related staff to ensure they are proficient in using new systems and processes.
  • Establish a systematic approach for creating and distributing reports that provide critical insights into project status, financial health, and risk exposure.
  • Integrate project control tools into daily project operations to enable real-time tracking and management of project metrics.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of project control processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure project control systems meet the needs of the organization.
Requirements:
  • University degree in a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) designation or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in project controls with a high level of experience in planning, scheduling, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and estimating.
  • Extensive experience working on large projects, preferably in the mining sector, with a sound knowledge of contract principles.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, InEight (Hard Dollar), and Excel.
  • Proficient in Oracle's JD Edwards software suite, particularly the Project Management Products.
