At Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS), we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kinesiologist - Fitness Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our fitness and sports department, you will be responsible for developing, delivering, and assessing tactical programs for the Canadian Armed Forces.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and dedicated team, delivering fitness and sports programs that are grounded in cutting-edge scientific research and supported by state-of-the-art technology. As a Kinesiologist - Fitness Trainer, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Canadian Armed Forces members and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver fitness and sports programs for the Canadian Armed Forces
- Assess and evaluate physical fitness levels of military personnel
- Provide coaching and guidance to military personnel on fitness and sports techniques
- Collaborate with other fitness and sports professionals to develop and implement fitness and sports programs
- Conduct physical fitness tests and evaluations
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, or a related field
- Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
- Current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certificate
- Successful completion of the Personnel Support Programs (PSP) Fitness & Sports Level 1 & 2 Courses
- Experience in physical fitness evaluation and prescription or a related field
French is an essential language for this role.
