About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Wok Box - Meadow Lake. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation, heating, and finishing of simple food items, including portioning and wrapping foods.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food quantities used and restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure a clean and safe working environment by removing kitchen garbage and trash, and washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team to achieve kitchen goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the food service industry is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with overtime required as needed.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong initiative and team player skills.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced kitchen environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 35 hours per week.
