Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Mental Health Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with our Mental Health Clinical Lead to provide high-quality occupational therapy services to clients in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to clients with mental health conditions, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation.
  • Collaborate with our Mental Health Clinical Lead to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families to promote healthy coping mechanisms and improve overall well-being.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to mental health services.

Requirements:

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Clinical experience in the area of psychotherapy and mental health is an asset.
  • Additional continuing education in mental health skills is an asset.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.
  • Bilingualism - French and English are assets.
