Position Overview

The role of a Food Service Supervisor involves overseeing the daily operations of food preparation and service within a dynamic environment. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in food service.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff engaged in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff on their job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Recruit and hire food service personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards in food and service.
  • Prepare budget forecasts and cost estimates for food service operations.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
  • Oversee the assembly of meal trays to ensure accuracy and presentation.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will involve supervising a team of approximately 3-4 individuals.

Work Environment
  • Fast-paced work environment requiring the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while standing for extended periods.
  • Physically demanding tasks are involved in this role.
Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
