Role Overview

The Enterprise Solutions Architect plays a crucial role in designing and developing intricate, tailored solutions for large enterprises and governmental organizations. This position involves close collaboration with clients to comprehend their unique requirements and objectives, leading to the creation of integrated solutions utilizing Rogers' standard offerings. The Architect will work alongside Account Executives and various teams to identify customer challenges, present compelling value propositions, and ensure effective implementation. This role is vital in driving revenue growth by achieving or surpassing established sales targets while fostering positive customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide pre-sales technical consultation to sales teams
    • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations
    • Analyze and interpret customer needs
    • Design and architect comprehensive solutions
    • Collaborate with internal teams
    • Assist in estimating project costs and resources
    • Generate technical diagrams and documentation
  2. Engage with key decision-makers (from CIOs to IT personnel) of current and prospective clients
    • Understand client business objectives
    • Build trust-based relationships and act as a trusted advisor
    • Participate in technology evaluations
    • Collaborate on strategic roadmaps and planning
    • Address technical concerns and objections
  3. Design innovative technical solutions
    • Create customized solutions and architectural designs
    • Evaluate and select suitable technologies
    • Provide expert technical guidance
  4. Conduct customer-facing meetings and develop proposals
    • Hold approximately 5-10 meetings monthly
    • Participate in discovery sessions and proposal presentations
    • Develop proposals in collaboration with Account Executives
  5. Advance solution specifications internally for product fulfillment
  6. Maintain comprehensive product knowledge
  7. Possess a solid understanding of the global telecommunications landscape Knowledge in: Layer 1 (Optical, HFC, WDM), Layer 2 & 3 (Switching, STP, VLAN, MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, etc.), Wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Mobile), VoIP and telephony solutions (Contact Center, MSFT Teams)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or networking is preferred. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Fortinet, or Microsoft Certified are advantageous.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in solution architecture or related fields
  • Strong technical foundation in enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and networking
  • Proficiency in architectural frameworks and methodologies
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of security best practices and data integration
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Working Conditions

  • Travel to client locations may be required
  • Ability to work from Rogers offices on a hybrid schedule
