Job Summary

As a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the smooth operation of our retail environment. This dynamic role requires a customer-focused individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced team setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers in a friendly and polite manner, providing a positive shopping experience.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, locate merchandise, and make purchase decisions.
  • Resolve customer issues and escalate concerns to management as needed.
  • Maintain salesfloor presentation by stocking, rotating, and removing damaged or out-of-date merchandise.
  • Ensure proper handling of claims and returns, secure merchandise, and identify high-shrink items.
  • Receive and stock merchandise, utilize equipment, and administer required paperwork and documentation.
  • Refer service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
