Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Optical Professional to join our team at LensCrafters in London, ON. As a Licensed Optician, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible eye care experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing expert advice and guidance to customers
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear to meet customer needs and standards
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing support and guidance as needed
  • Utilize technology effectively, managing multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining exceptional product knowledge and attention to detail
  • Proactively identify and resolve customer issues, ensuring satisfaction and exceeding expectations
  • Multi-task and prioritize tasks, managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand key performance indicators (KPIs) and competencies
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store environment, taking pride in store appearance
  • Identify and report safety opportunities, demonstrating safe work practices
  • Embody a resourceful, self-motivated, and results-driven approach, with a desire for continual learning and improvement

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • State licensure
  • Optical dispensing experience
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Awareness of current fashion trends
  • Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, computers, and calculators
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technology and processes
