Job Title: Social Aide

Job Summary:

The Social Aide will provide support services to the community, working closely with clients to address their social needs. This role requires a strong understanding of the services offered by the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB) and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support services to clients, including assistance with daily living tasks and access to community resources.
  • Work collaboratively with community members, families, and other stakeholders to identify and address social needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Conduct home visits and provide support to clients in their homes.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of service plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • One year of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in Cree and English; fluency in French is an asset.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Language: Fluent in Cree and English; fluency in French is an asset.
