About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at AAB TRANSPORT LTD. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as maintain accurate records of employee benefits.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws, and identify and mitigate potential financial risks.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, MS Windows, and MS Office.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and priorities. The ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy is essential.
